Sodo Mojo Baby. Timelapse of travel to Sodo District of Seattle WA

Thinking of doing more time-lapse videos of designations unknown. Select a random location and travel to it.

Todays designation: Sodo district of Seattle Washington. This is a quick test so I did this without much though as well as battery power on my GoPro Hero 3 Black. I think it turned out pretty well and working with 772 pictures – 1 picture per second works out pretty well.

Where should I go next?

Missed your chance to become a firefighter!

A chance to see and become a firefighter for a day! What a great day it was for several people. 🙂

I have to thank the Lakewood Fire Department and their crew for allowing me to set this event up for a photography group I’m in. They were gracious enough to allow our members to come by and watch them work and actually to try out their gear!

What a fun day of learning what our great Firefighters do, protecting our homes and us. It is not everyday that they do this and allow the public to participate. I truly am grateful to them.

This event occurred in July 26, 2008.

Klamath California – Trees of Mystery and Drive Thru Tree

If you ever have a chance to visit Klamath California, it’s a great place to visit and enjoy nature’s wonder and all the redwood giants! These trees are tall!

On my way back to Washington State with the family, I stopped by the Trees of Mystery. I really wanted to ride the gondola and see the trees from above…Unfortunately, they were not running this day…

As it was a very short stay there, the next spot to go to was the Drive Thru Tree. If you ever have a chance to drive through Interstate 5 northbound towards Canada, there is a rest spot that also has a tree that was driven through by royalty.

Klamath National Forrest is wonderful and definitely worth deviating to experience on your way through California.

This video was taken on May 3, 2005.

Sub Pop still Rocks the Soul – 25Th Anniversery Party

When Sub Pop Records does something, they do it right! For their 25th Anniversary they threw a large party in the heart of Seattle’s Georgetown and invited everyone to the party.

The party was pretty much all day and the Silver Jubilee was one of the most successful events held in Georgetown! The largest gathering of people coming to enjoy a free all-ages concert by Sup Pop’s bands were a treat for all who attended.

What a great and fun experience.

Rabid Racoon in Daylight?

Saw this Racoon on the stairs of an apartment complex. As a nocturnal creature, I had originally thought that this Racoon might have rabies but doing some research online, I’ve found that it is not the case.

Raccoons do sometimes come out in daylight, sometimes if they are a mother needing to feed her babies.

However, it is still a good idea to stay away from these cute looking animals.

Color in Motion 5k Race – Tacoma Washington

The first Color in Motion in Tacoma, Washington was a great success with over 4300+ people participating in the Fun Run.

The race started from Cheney Stadium and the participants were ready to enjoy a fun morning running through the Tacoma neighborhood.

Events July 13Th

What a busy Sturday full of fun activities to do in the Seattle area.

Sub Pop Records is having a free concert from 10am to 11pm, possibly in the Georgetown area for their 25th anniversery and the concert is for all ages.

If you want to get a brief look at the Georgetown area, take a look at my Dead Baby video. That is also another fun bike race festival to attend.

If you want something quieter, you may want to visit the Internationak District. They are hokding the Dragon Festival. There will be many shows from all the Asian cultures participating and the restaurants are selling $2.00 samplers.
