Bollywood Dance with a BAM

A fun opportunity to see the popular Indian culture and dance that is becoming a hit in some parts of Seattle, check out the dance and music.

The music is fun and catchy, I can see why it would be fun to listen to, even dance along with.

This was the first time BAM had a exhibition hall for the sharing of culture.

I have some pictures taken from the exhibits from the Bellevue Mall, with permission from some of these great, creative artists and I’m currently working on the pictures, it’ll be uploaded to my Flickr account. I’ll update when I’m done.

Got The Power to Catch Them All?

So you gotta catch them all? Pokémon got you running out of energy?

It’s no surprise that some game stores are bundling power bricks with phones and games.

Me, I got it because my old battery for my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Edge started to die pretty fast. I’m currently keeping the Vivitar Power Up in my Drone bag for emergency use.

It’s pretty nice. The battery pack had three bars right out of the box. It charged my phone pretty fast as well. The downside is that Vivitar does not offer a usb power adapter/charger with it. I want to say it took about 4 hours to charge up the pack to four bars from the two bars I had. I could be mistaken on this.

However, I’ve had the fully charged power pack in the DJI drone bag for almost a week and its still at full capacity!

I’m liking it so far.

Pokémon Go – My take on catching them all

A walk about or Pokethon, whatever you may wish to call it.
My quick jaunt around West Hylebos Wetland Park with my thought about the game, some tips and hints as well as questions you might be able to answer.

I am posting this on a new channel I created out of curiosity and trying to learn how to set up a new channel. The channel name is RecordLifeGaming. You can check out the tutorial called, “Creating a 2nd YouTube Channel.”

I’m using my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Edge to capture the games played on the Android OS.

Why you shouting bro – Unboxing and testing the Sennheiser MKE 400

I recently purchased the Sennheiser MKE 400 for my Nikon D800 and the Sony FX-1 Camcorder.

I normally use the Sony UWPV1 that I borrow or my Sony WCS999 wireless lavalier kit. Most of the time, I use these lavalier kits on the Fx-1, so using a shotgun mike is a new experience for me.

The microphone is a lot smaller in size than I imagined but does seem to do a good job in close range – I have not tried the mike over some distance but by the look of things, this is more for close distances.

The sound samples can be heard on the video between the Sennheiser MKE 400 and my Letv X500 Smartphone.

Using the Sennheiser MKE 400 on the other video mentioned, I had to play around in Adobe Premiere with the audio effects to reduce the hissing noise captured during the audio capture but it did a great job. You can listen to the sample in the video I did on the PowerBear 6000 mAh posted before this video.

The PowerBear 6000 mAh Battery Replacement for the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge

My Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Edge is running out of battery power quicker than a kid unwrapping Christmas presents.

I got myself the PowerBear 6000 mAh extended battery with case.
The battery fits nicely and the cover is pretty nice as well.

So far, I’m ok with the battery life performance but I’m not sure I’m actually getting the lifespan. My unofficial use has the battery running around 2-3 hours. This is watching movies, playing games non-stop for the duration.

At this point, I’ll say it’s worth it for me.

How to create a second YouTube channel

Out of curiosity, I wanted to see if I could create a second YouTube channel.

After doing some research and playing around with it, I’ve found it to be pretty simple to create a new channel attached to your account instead of creating a new account.

I did notice that once the channel has been created and established, it does not seem to switch with the selection of the channel, more like you need to refresh the channel. You can see what I mean by watching to the end.

Whether I actually utilize the 2nd channel or not, it was a learning experience and I did record a game from my phone that I wanted to test out for my screen capture app on my Samsung Galaxy Note 4 Edge.

The game I recorded is called Walking War Robots and I’m enjoying the game play. It’s a multi-user battle of giant robots with wmds (weapons of mass destruction)

Take a look and comment about the tutorial. Thanks.

Damn it Daniel, back at it again at the Airport

The fam are heading off to Korea today, by the time this is posted, they’re already soaring above the skies towards some fun and relaxation.

Me, I’ve decided to stay and work, vacation, what’s that. Phhhpt.

On my way to Korea, back in July of 2014, I tried my GoPro Hero 3 Back and it’s time-lapse feature. Shot using settings of 4000×3000, I figured I could do some cropping and make it look smoother at 1080 but I’m kind of digging the old tv format look.

I originally intended to use it with some other clips of my travel to Korea but decided not to use it. It’s been sitting in my hard drive all this time so…time to do some cleanup while revisiting some old files and whatever…I figured this clip is perfect for the two year anniversary, it’s almost the same date that I travelled to Korea back in 2014!
