Why you shouting bro – Unboxing and testing the Sennheiser MKE 400

I recently purchased the Sennheiser MKE 400 for my Nikon D800 and the Sony FX-1 Camcorder.

I normally use the Sony UWPV1 that I borrow or my Sony WCS999 wireless lavalier kit. Most of the time, I use these lavalier kits on the Fx-1, so using a shotgun mike is a new experience for me.

The microphone is a lot smaller in size than I imagined but does seem to do a good job in close range – I have not tried the mike over some distance but by the look of things, this is more for close distances.

The sound samples can be heard on the video between the Sennheiser MKE 400 and my Letv X500 Smartphone.

Using the Sennheiser MKE 400 on the other video mentioned, I had to play around in Adobe Premiere with the audio effects to reduce the hissing noise captured during the audio capture but it did a great job. You can listen to the sample in the video I did on the PowerBear 6000 mAh posted before this video.
