Taste test a gourmet root beer

Its time for trying out another Bundaberg branded soda and this is one of the gourmet root beer brand. There are so many different brands of root beer and its not for me to say who makes the best root beer, I’ll just try them as I find them.
The root beer maker Bundaberg is based out of Australia and the cost for purchasing one of these bottles of root beer is not cheap, this is a good root beer but I’m more partial to more familiar taste of something like A&W or Dads root beer. It has an interesting flavor which makes it a taste that I believe you would come to appreciate over time.
The Bundaberg root beer gets its unique taste from ginger and has a citrusy taste. I will say that Bundaberg does come up with some interesting flavors for your taste buds that you should at least try once. I will say that this doesn’t taste straight out like a hard root beer due to the citreous flavor but this is definitely not your father’s root beer, that is, if you’re not from Australia.
You can purchase the Bundaberg root beer at some stores that might carry it as a specialty item, not sure of any specific root bear store but you can get it online here (affiliate link): http://amzn.to/2qwVQl5
I hope you enjoyed this mokbang/mukbang taste test of one of the many different brands of root beer, purchasing from the link above helps support me. Thanks.

Not Happy with the Grand Mac 🍔😣

When the Grand Mac came to Washington, I was way too excited! My friend had went to McD’s the previous day and said it takes two hands to eat it – it even says so on the box…
I had to try it.
The taste of the Grand Mac is as expected, taste just like a Big Mac as it should. The burger was good but as you can see from the video, I was a bit disappointed by the size of the Grand Mac… Maybe they were talking about Trump’s hands but I could it eat it with one hand.

Visiting 85C Bakery

85°C Bakery had their grand opening this past weekend. I believe it’s a Taiwanese bakery franchise that is very popular in California as well.

Due to work schedule conflicts, I visited the bakery after the promotions on Monday. It was a good thing as I’ve heard the wait time was over two hrs during the weekend. I arrived here early enough that there wasn’t a crowd, though once I got in, the crowd started to develop outside.

Chicken Banh Mi is Nomlicious

Bánh mì from Than Son Tofu in Seattle

Nowadays, most people know Pho as its become real popular. It’s even become a YouTube trend due to a controversy about how it should be eaten, but Banh Mi still places first in my stomach.

Bon Appetit did a video about eating Pho and was seriously criticized about the way they did the video. I just did a quick search on YouTube and it seems like they’ve taken it down. You can still watch some videos about it by doing a quick search.

Alright, I got sidetracked – back on topic.

Banh Mi pretty much means bread and wheat. Banh Mi or Vietnamese sandwiches are made on a French Baguette roll. The toppings are are usually the same – they have pickled radish and carrots. It might have fresh slices of cucumber and off course it can’t be a great Banh Mi without Cilantro! I love Cilantro!

Bánh Mì from Than Son Tofu in Seattle bakes their rolls fresh everyday, the smell of fresh French Baguettes will makes your mouth drool. I love the special Mayo they use but some people prefer it without the Mayo. When I get my sandwich from this store, I’ll usually go with the Chicken but they do have a variety from Chinese BBQ pork to Beef, Fried Egg or Veggie.

As you can see from the picture above, it’s already half eaten. I realized I stuffed my face before taking a picture of it. The sandwich is about a foot long and the cost is only $3.50! It’s still cheap compared to an equivalent sandwich from Subways.

If you just want to buy the fresh French Baguette, you can purchase it for a dollar! The roll is about two feet long.

What’s your favorite Banh Mi?

Kimbap and Ramen 🍙🍣🍲

Kimbap

When most people see Kimbap, they think of Sushi. Kimbap is not Sushi. It’s similar and both are great in taste but I’m a Korean Kimbap loving soul.

Food, glorious food

Kim-bap is usually made with Bulgogi but I love this version the best. The Spam and Crab meat (though its imitation crab meat) is a great combo. The saltiness of the Spam and the sweet taste from the crab meat brings out the flavor in the Kimbap.

Kimbap

Just having Kimbap as it is fine but if you really, truly want a true Korean experience of enjoying Kimbap, get a bowl of Ramen ready. I like Shin Ramen as it is the brand I enjoy and the spiciness is fantastic for this combination.

Kimbap

I just threw this Ramen into the microwave for 3 1/2 minutes and added the egg and crab meat from the leftover Kimbap after taking it out of the microwave.

Why the Ramen? Its for the soup base. A quick dunk of the Kimbap into the Ramen soup just adds another level to the taste!

The more advanced version is to have the Kimbap soaked into a beaten egg and fried. The egg covered Kimbap and Ramen is sooooo good.

Food, glorious food

Try it out and let me know what you think.

Fatburger Love 🍔🍟

Had myself some Sweet Potato fries and a great burger to boot – though I should have gone with adding a fried egg to it! Like bacon, fried eggs to me are a must – what was I thinking!

The sauce for the fries was so-so.

No audio commentary – seriously? I ain’t got time for that, got to mangia!
